Baking, walking and brain finding

Yesterday was a bit of an odd day.

In the morning i noticed the bananas were looking a bit sorry for themselves so decided to bake banana and chocolate bread, Yum! Thought i’d try the crispy topped one, i think i may have gone too far with the demerara sugar though, took it out the oven and the top bit was all crackled and broke, but that was obviously how i wanted it to look, right?

After dropping Amy off at afternoon school nursery, it was time once again to get out the Littlelife backpack and take the dogs for a walk. Since the last time i changed some of the settings for it to see if it would be more comfortable (as comfortable as it can get with a toddler on your back). Viola, it was, so much more comfortable. I didn’t feel i was about to topple over backwards, success! Off we went on the walk, Jessica enjoyed wacking my head while i worked (aren’t toddlers so loving?!). Was about 5 minutes from home when we went past a house with a dog barking at the window, i looked and saw Benjy at the house window walking along sniffing, was trying to keep Tilly walking instead of barking at the dog at the window. Then it came to me.  How is Benjy right over there? The lead had broke! (hubbys bodge job, thanks hubby!). So i start saying Benjy nicely, but he isn’t listening too busy sniffing the grass/bins/doorways of houses. This is why he doesn’t get let off the lead much, selective hearing alot like the kids. I finally get him to come back, and quickly get him back on the lead, and make our way home as fast as possible before it happened again.

Get home sort dogs out, get Jessica out the backpack and sit and watch a recorded programme (Yes, yes i admit i was watching ‘The Valleys’ and yes, i actually recorded it too, i love my trashy programme!). Notice it is 2:50 so get Jess in pushchair and walk out the house. Notice it is very quiet for school run time, but carry on walking. Before crossing the first road i look at my phone and realise, it’s 1:55, idiot! So i pretend i get a text and ‘pretend’ i need to go back home. Why i pretended this i don’t know, but i didn’t want people to think i was that stupid to go get the kids an hour early, that is of course if anyone was actually watching?

Bought the LittleLife backpack so i could walk dogs easier than her being in pushchair (dogs seemed to enjoy walking infront of pushchair and criss crossing the leads, nightmare!). Out on our first tester walk and after 5minutes i wanted to go home, i was not used to carrying a 21month old on my back aswell as having 2 dogs trying to run on lead. I carried on regardless as went on i got used to the weight, but once i saw our house in view i think i was almost running their to get a rest lol. Once we got home we readjusted some settings as i had a feeling they were wrong for my height. What made me come to this conclusion was i felt i was tipping over backwards with her everytime Jess moved. Not right! Got a setting that felt ‘right’ and was ready for round 2 of the backpack and dog walking.
