Easter Holidays

I haven’t had a blog post in a while, kids being off school just didn’t give the strength to write a post. Once i went off to do something for myself the kiddiwinks decided to argue, want food, want drink or generally just let me know they were around with the chorused word ‘Mam.’

So what did we do during the holidays? Not too much, unfortunately the weather let us down a fair few days for going to the park.

We still had fun, putting aside the naughty step and losing their Easter eggs..

It started off with us going to the farm, we saw some cows, reindeers, chickens, llamas, ostriches and some lambs and sheep 🙂 The downside was it was absolutely freezing so we didn’t last long.

While walking the dogs the kids enjoyed playing races, there was some cheating by Thomas though which left Amy mostly annoyed.

On your marks, get set, go…

We also had a little kitchen change, but i am not giving it away yet as it isn’t yet finished, but i am soo excited about it, brilliant what a lick of paint can do to a room!

We also had a little walk in the woods to feed some squirrels. Some were surprisingly tame, although the crows also enjoyed the nuts! I’m not a fan of crows after watching ‘The Birds’ when i was younger! I like to keep my distance just incase they fancy a peck at my head!

Jessica thoroughly enjoyed eating the monkey nuts instead of letting the squirrels have them! I did get shouted at, at certain points of me putting my hand in the bag and throwing them on the ground for the squirrels. She then tried searching for them and picking the ones she found back up..

The park! Was pretty busy but the kids had fun and burnt off some energy.

The other 2 were off in the sandpit so unfortunately no pictures of them.

Lastly they had a party to go to and then we had some fun with outdoor chalk. I did catch the dogs eating these too. Why, i don’t know, just so the other  doesn’t get chance of that colour. They soon got a telling off and put in their place and carried on chasing each other round the garden.

Jess was being Jess and not wanting to smile for pictures before the party, but Thomas and Amy enjoyed some posing!

The chalks were fantastic and kept the kids occupied for a while. Would definitely buy some more once these get used up. It has to be a must for summer, when it arrives, or should that say if!

So this sums up our Easter Holidays and my silence.
