Butterfly Cookie making morning

With some  more goodies arriving yesterday from Bakedbyme it had to be a cooking morning with the butterfly cutters.

Today also included Betty Crockers chocolate chip I usually like to make things these type of things from scratch, but sometimes a little cheat of prepared mix is what i need.

Simply poured the mix into bowl and other added ingredients and set Amy to work mixing it altogether.

Once mixed with a little help from mummy, it was ready for the cutters. Hmm how do i this, i had visions of rolling out the cookie mix and just cutting the shape into it, but this was cookie mix and a little sticky. I may have been slightly confused and realised i was not baking biscuits. So decided to scope the mixture into the cutters and push it all into the little butterfly spaces. It seemed to work well and the mix stuck to the paper more the cutter. After 5 minutes it was all ready for the oven, yum!!

In the oven for 15minutes to give a little crisp texture to it and they were ready to be put on the side to cool. While having Jessica stand and watch them the whole time, because as you know they cool quicker if you watch 🙂

Lost a little bit of the butterfly shape but turned out better than what i thought, and they were delicious!

Do we save one for when daddy gets home tomorrow??
