How did we survive without all this technology?

My poor Samsung Galaxy S2 died on me yesterday. From the moment i realised it wasn’t coming back i panicked! How am i going to survive without it? With this came my Micro sd card from inside also dying on me and saying it’s been corrupted. Last time i updated the photos onto hard drive was October.  So i have lost the last 2 months in photos and videos. Currently trying to seek a computer geek who can try and recoup it or get back the data sorted on it. The bad point is i have no idea if the pictures actually got saved onto it or not.
I think the hubby got annoyed with me saying how rubbish it is without a phone that he gave me his to use while mine gets fixed. His is the same phone and i felt a bit of relief come into my body. I have a phone, with internet, ebay  etc on, ahhh.
Only problem is not all apps i had on mine are on his and his ring tone is all ring and screen saver is a picture of myself, which i don’t really want to be looking at, but he refuses to let me change it as he has reminded me it his ‘still his phone.’

So how did i ever survive without one? I got my first when i was around 14, i thought it was fab, loved the snake game. It had a good little aerial pointing out the top too. Now i look how far it has all changed and i couldn’t imagine having to go back to something like that. I guess times have changed, we communicate more on texts, facebook than we do on the house phone, letter or face to face. This is the new era of technology, and why stay behind when it makes things easier now? I guess when or if i make it to 50+ things will be more updated and i’ll be lost with the technology and saying, well in my day we didn’t have all this.

As a child i used to enjoy writing my penpals who were in Europe. I got excited when a letter came through the door for me. I wonder how many children have this now? Is there such a thing as a penpal for children now?

Totally agree! I would be lost without my phone too.. I remember my first phone as if it was yesterday! it was some brick of a phone and not like any of my friends! I used to hide it! The day I got that famous Nokia it change my world! society has come along way since then and we now live in a world where yes we communicate through the likes of the Facebook and Twitter, Texts and Email. It really is a shame, a telephone call and a face to face conversation is now a thing of the past for some people!
