Nearly time..

..to be rich again!

Payday this week, and my brain has started the arts and crafts, home decorating clogs going. I’m thinking of painting walls in the kitchen, and stapling oil cloth on top of the kitchen table. All sounds easy enough 🙂 now to sweet talk the hubby into letting me do this.

We have had our dining table for some time. It is a little small for 5 people, but the dining area isn’t big enough for a bigger table. I was looking at buying a new table, but i might just cover the top and paint the legs, to make it a ‘new’ table. I have seen some good restorations on my facebook wall, i think this started me thinking about the oil cloth idea.

I’m sure i read somewhere drawing pins would keep the oil cloth pinned down, so will be trying that before having to buy a big stapler. The good thing about drawing pins is, if there is a crease or loose bit i can just take drawing pin out and tighten the cloth? I’ve never worked with oil cloth before so not sure how easy it is. This idea sounds right up my street and easy to do, but i’m sure i will have a good time bashing the ‘stupid’ table because it wont go right. Then have a hurting hand all day…
