Touch wood

Do you believe touching wood won’t make it come true? I usually do say ‘touch wood’ but i don’t think i actually believe, more that if i didn’t and it happened i’d blame not touching that magical piece of wood lol.

Walking under ladders. I don’t do that unless i have to. 3 grids on the pavement, avoid if i can.

Magpies, i’m sure they follow me in 1s, 1 for sorrow, 2 for joy, 3 for girl, 4 for boy… after seeing a magpie i need to say ‘Good afternoon Mr Magpie’ 3 times and blow kiss 3 times so i don’t get the ‘bad luck.’ How ridiculous does all this sound? Yet i continue it on!

New shoes on table is a no no. Crossing on the stairs, i can bypass this one sometimes, if i am desperate for the toilet, or desperate to keep remembering why i am going up the stairs. In the end i almost always forget as then i get the ‘omg you crossed the stairs!’ in my head. Get to the top stand there and get annoyed at myself. Why didn’t i keep saying it to remember. Look in all the rooms see if it comes back to me. Nope gone. Damn you crossing on the stairs bad luck…

I’m sure i’m not the only one who goes along with these bonker ideas?
