Curtains finished

Finally, i finished them a couple of days ago, phew! 2nd curtain is better than the first, but they are finally up in her bedroom 2 months later. After putting them up i am now unsure if the colours are right for her bedding, but after all that hard work, i’m not that bothered to do anything about it, so i wont until we move again. Have a few pictures to share, you may notice i have no close up ones. There is a valid reason for this. Remember how i was saying the sewing machine doesn’t let me do straight lines? Yep well it had another off day, or 3 and the stitching isn’t fully straight. I also noticed on the first curtain i tried a new stitch on the sewing machine. Come to do 2nd curtain and forget about that, so the curtains have different stitchings in places, oops!
Have to say the lining is pretty good, in the mornings her bedroom is still dark, so much so i have had to wake her up every morning for school run. I’m sure at the weekend though, she will wake at normal time, as that is how it goes in the world of a child. Never makes sense to me, they also seem to know when you are ill or had just a drop more alcohol than maybe you should’ve done. You can guarantee on them nights 1 of them will wake during night or wake up super early, and be extra loud and want to be near you. While all you want to do is a curl up and sleep it off in a dark silent room.
