Halloween begins

Yesterday we decided, well I decided, to make halloween biscuits with the kids. I thought fab, they will love it, and i get to  eat some biscuits with a a good excuse (need to be eaten before they go off and have to be binned).  Diet? Urm… oh yes. I can treat myself though. Right? Everyday, yes?

Kids loved it just as i thought! Thomas helped me mix the mixture to make the dough, he told me ‘You need big muscle to do this mam because it’s hard work, so it’s a good job you gave it to me to do and not you.’ Love the funny little things they come out with, even at 5 he has some good humour this kid!

We then had tea while it cooled in fridge, got ready for bed, then the fun began! Decorating, white icing and orange and black sprinkles. I let Jess have a go, but after i saw her licking the icing off the spoon instead of decorating the biscuit she had to leave the room. No way did i want a hyper Jessica at bedtime lol. I helped the kids decorate all the biscuits (i may have had more fun than them).

Ta da! Witches hats and spooky bats. 5 minutes later we all treat ourselves to a biscuit. I chose a hat to try. More biscuit! Thomas and Amy wolfed theres down and Jessica bit off all the icing and sprinkles and threw the biscuit on the floor, typical. Put the kids to bed then realised i had the kitchen to clean, *gulp* here comes the ‘I hate housework’ moping around.
Kitchen cleaned and put my feet up and watched my recorded soaps, while sneaking another biscuit in my belly, oops! The diet starts again tomorrow i tell myself  😉
